Stedman Bailey worked steadily through his redshirt season at West Virginia, and by the time spring football came around he was pressing for serious playing time. He picked up right where he left off when he came back to fall camp, and is now set as one of the starters at wide receiver.
Bailey's ability to execute one of the fundamentals of the position -- catching the football -- has been key to his rise up the depth chart. The 5-10 receiver doesn't knock anyone out in terms of the eyeball test, but that's not important. What is vital is that Bailey has consistently caught the ball and made plays during his year at WVU, giving hope that the Mountaineers can finally put four or five receivers into the game that can all be productive.
Bailey talked about the learning process and the progress he has made to claim one of the starting roles heading into the Coastal Carolina contest this Saturday.
