"Everything's still wide open," James said. "I'm going to take visits after this NHSI tournament.
"I'm going to sit down with my brother and my dad and pick which ones I want to visit, then I'll probably make a decision between late April to mid-May."
According to James, he's averaging close to a double-double his senior season, including shooting 90 percent from the free throw line and 47 percent from 3-point range.
"I've just been playing really aggressive," he said. "Not for myself, but for my teammates, and everything's been going well."
WKU has been recruiting James for several months, and the three-star said he still talks with the Topper coaching staff frequently.
"I talk to them (WKU) all the time," he said. "Coach Harper and Coach Boyden.
"I like to play fast, and I know they do too, so that's good."
James kept tabs on the Toppers' over the winter, and said he came away impressed.
"They had a great season," he said. "I know their best player got injured, but I got to see almost all of the game against Kansas.
"They played really well."
James and La Lumiere will face St. Benedict's Prep at 1 p.m. CT on Thursday, April 4, a matchup that will be televised live on ESPNU.
