The first Bobby Petrino radio show broadcast of the 2013 season will be Wednesday night from 7-8 p.m. CT. In the Bowling Green area, the radio show airs on 105.3 The Point FM. The show is also available worldwide via wkusports.tv. The first six shows of the season will be broadcast live from Bowling Green Country Club. The show will be taped on the patio and the public is welcome to listen to the show in the restaurant area and bar area where food and drinks will be available for purchase. A complete schedule for the entire season will be released at a later date.
The first broadcast of the "Coach's Corner with Bobby Petrino" on television will be Thursday at 6:30 p.m. CT on WKYU-PBS in Bowling Green. The weekly show re-airs on the same outlet at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday mornings. The show also airs on WBNA ION 21 in Louisville at 10:30 a.m. ET on Saturdays.
Hosted by Terry Obee, the first show of the season includes a feature on the cancer battle of assistant coach Mike Cassity and a discussion with Coach Petrino about the upcoming season.
Obee will also join the Hilltopper IMG Sports Network broadcast crew as sideline reporter on game day throughout the 2013 season. Obee was a record-setting wide receiver and kick returner at the University of Oregon prior to his eight-year NFL career with Seattle, Minnesota and Chicago. Obee was a WKU Football assistant coach in 2010 and 2011. His broadcasting experience is with the Oregon Sports Network. Obee currently serves as a faculty member at WKU.
WKU/UK GAME TO BE AVAILABLE ON 102.5 THE TICKET IN NASHVILLE AREA: Fans inside LP Field and around Nashville will be able to join Randy Lee, Leo Peckenpaugh and Terry Obee as they bring fans all the action during the season opener on the radio as the game will be broadcast on 102.5 The Ticket FM in Nashville. This is in addition to the 15 channels across the region that carry the Hilltopper IMG Sports Network on a regular basis.
"It was important to us to have the opportunity for our fans in the stadium for this home game to have access to our radio broadcast," said Director of Athletics Todd Stewart. "We are excited that 102.5 FM will be sharing this broadcast to our fans in the stadium and our alumni in the Nashville area over the airwaves."
TICKET INFORMATION: The game between Kentucky and WKU is not a sell out, but all ticket sales for the opening game of the season are now only available through Ticketmaster. Fans can order tickets for the game by visiting www.ticketmaster.com or visiting a Ticketmaster location. Previously, tickets were available through both schools, but all sales have now transitioned exclusively to Ticketmaster locations. Ticket prices vary and are subject to availability.
On game day, tickets will be also be available for purchase at LP Field at Gate 1 beginning at 3:00 p.m. CT on Saturday.. This is also the location for all will call pickups that were placed through Ticketmaster.
The first 4,000 WKU students at the game on August 31 with a valid student ID will receive a free ticket to the game. After the first 4,000 students, student tickets will be available for purchase at $13.
