6-foot-7 three-star forward Justin Johnson took his latest visit to WKU's campus over the Sept. 28 weekend, after being recruited hard by the Toppers since his sophomore year of high school.
How would he rate his visit, on a scale from 1-10?
"Probably would say a 10," Johnson said. "It was a really great time.
"Probably though everywhere you go is almost a 10, anytime you're on an official visit they put together a good weekend for you, they make sure you get to see all the great things about the school."
It was a busy weekend for the three-star forward, from the moment he arrived on Friday to his departure Sunday morning.
"Well I got there Friday about noon, we went and got some lunch and then I met with the academic advistor, Ms. Dixie," Johnson said. "I met with the kinesiology department, because that's gonna be my major, then I met with the athletic director.
"Ate dinner at the president's house with him and his wife, got to know them a little bit, then I spent some time with the players. Played some pickup with the guys, tailgated, football game, ate dinner at Montana Grille, hung out with the guys, then left Sunday morning."
"The athletic director, he was a really nice guy. He knew who I was already, he said it was great to finally get to meet me. He told me about all the stuff they're trying to do, trying to build at WKU."
Johnson was accompanied some on his visit by another three-star prospect, Berkner (Texas) point guard Keenan Evans.
"He (Evans) was cool," the Perry Country Central standout said. "We played against him in the (EYBL) league this year, he's a really good player.
"I think he had a pretty good visit too."
After those visits are done, he said he's not sure of an exact timeline for a college decision, but he plans to sign in the fall.
"I'm not 100 percent sure right now (on a timeline,)" Johnson said. "It's a long process.
"I have to sit down with my parents and weigh out the pro's and con's, so I'm still debating on when it's gonna come out and everything."
