Positives:
Great relationships with both current players and commitments/recruits. Lengthy record as a successful assistant coach. Could provide WKU some much needed continuity.
Negatives:
No previous head coaching experience.

Veteran coach who led the Toppers to the No. 14 overall total defense in 2013 FBS rankings, including the No. 10 ranked pass defense nationally. Has coached in five BCS bowl games.
Negatives:
Recruits mostly the West Coast, which isn't a traditional pipeline for WKU. Mixed reaction from fans on his potential hiring.

Negatives:
Would WKU be a large-enough upgrade for him to leave a good setup at ULL? CUSA is a step-up, but is that enticing enough?
