Sandro Noel now has 10 scholarship offers and is hoping more come his way after the final two weeks of the July evaluation period.
But no mater what happens the rest of the month, Noel said he has a solid list of schools. Western Kentucky was the latest to offer and he said it was one that "excites" him because of their style of play.
"My options are still open and it's a long month," Noel said. "I want to get as many offers as I can and then we can narrow it down after the final evaluation period. I just want to stay open until then."
The 6-foot-7 Noel, who played at Hollywood, Fla., McArthur last season but will play at Elev8 Academy in Fort Lauderdale this season, said he spoke to the WKU coaches about how he fits with the Toppers.
"I talked to the coaches and they like the way I play," he said. "They think I can come there and put them in the championship talk and then go on and be an NBA pick. I've always played up-and-down style, so that's good.
"I've heard they really like to get up and down the floor, so that's good."
As a junior, Noel averaged 10.1 points, 7.1 rebounds and 2.5 blocked shots. He also has offers from UNC-Wilmington, High Point, Charleston Southern, Illinois State, Gardner-Webb, Georgia Southern and Tennessee Tech.
