O'Bryan, who at one time was committed to Ball State, was among a group of prospects visiting the WKU campus on Saturday afternoon. During his time in Bowling Green, O'Bryan spent time visiting the Hilltoppers facilities and further building relationships with the coaching staff.
He announced his decision via social media shortly after completing his visit.
"I'm very excited to say that I have officially committed to Western Kentucky to further my education and my career," he announced, adding that he has brought his recruitment process to a "close."
O'Bryan committed to WKU over scholarship offers from Ball State, Murray State and others. While interest was continuing to grow for the 6-foot-3, 230-pound prospect, his decision to become a Hilltopper was something that he has long desired.
"I have always wanted to be a HillTopper and coach Brohm is taking this program to the top," O'Bryan told WKUInsider.com shortly after making his decision.
As expected, his decision was met with excitement from the WKU coaching staff.
"They were hyped for me, very excited," he said.
