Duncan tosses five TD's in win

Western Kentucky quarterback commit Steven Douglas had a near perfect night in leading Summerville (S.C.) Ashley Ridge to a thrilling victory on Friday night.

Western Kentucky quaterback commitment Steven Duncan is off to an excellent start to his senior season.

Duncan, who publicly committed to the Hilltoppers on Aug. 1, had a near perfect outing on Friday night for Summerville (S.C.) Ashley Ridge.

The 6-foot-5, 230-pound quarterback was instrumental in his team's thrilling 42-39 win, completing 20 of 26 attempts for 320 yards and 5 touchdowns. Ashley Ridge improves to 2-0 on the season.

Pleased with his performance, Duncan realizes that his attention must remain on the next task ahead.

"[It] feels great but there is no time to rest," he told WKUInsider.com. "We have another game this week and need to keep winning."

With a game scheduled for Friday night, it will be impossible for Duncan to make the trip to Nashville, Tenn., to attend his future school's season-opener at Vanderbilt.

"I would love to get up and see it but I have a game the next night," he explained. "You can bet I'll be watching my Tops!"
