Western Kentucky will host a pair of 2016 guards on official visits this weekend

Western Kentucky University's men's basketball team will host a pair of 2016 guards this weekend on official visits. The Toppers welcomed both Dondre Griffin and Tobias Howard to campus on Friday.

It’s a big weekend for Western Kentucky University men’s basketball coach Ray Harper and his staff with several key visitors in town for Hilltopper Hysteria.

The Toppers will have two official visitors - Dondre Griffin and Tobias Howard - in town on official visits for the events this weekend. Several others could be in Bowling Green on unofficial visits.

Griffin and Howard are among the top 2016 targets left on the board for WKU. The Toppers don’t have a commitment in the ’16 class but are likely to sign at least two players.

The 6-foot Howard is originally from Suwanee, Ga., and is a point guard the Toppers have been recruiting since July. He’ attends West Oaks, Fla., Academy and played for the Stackhouse Elite AAu team on the adidas circuit this spring and summer.

Howard also has offers from Mississippi and Loyola.

The 6-foot-4 Griffin is from Knightdale, N.C., High School and became a target during the summer when the WKU staff saw him with Team Felton.

Griffin is expected to make a decision later this month and is looking at Murray State, Appalachian State, James Madison, Hofstra and Wofford.

Christian County junior wing Jaylen Sebree is also expected to attend the Hysteria event, while Tallahassee, Fla., Godby guard Quan Jackson may also attend.
