Wednesday night was a great night for WKU football as the Hilltoppers received a pair of commitments from three star linebackers.
Moments after Atlanta (Ga.) Westlake linebacker Christion Abercrombie committed, WKU added another Peach State prospect in Fairburn (Ga.) Langston Hughes linebacker Jeffrey Allison.
Allison made an unofficial visit to Western Kentucky over the weekend and was in attendance for the Hilltoppers 35-19 homecoming win over Florida Atlantic. While on The Hill, Allison also visited the campus and spent time meeting with members of the coaching staff.
"Went I was there I was real impressed by how everything functioned," he told WKU Insider. "I really liked it up there, so I decided I would commit. The campus was very nice. I never knew it would look like that. I thought it would just be a small town, but it was real nice."
The 6-foot-1, 235-pound Allison committed to the Hilltoppers over scholarship offers from Charlotte, Georgia Southern, Hawaii and others.
Allison is also excited for the opportunity to play in the Nick Holt defense.
"I like what I saw from the defense in the game," he said. "I like the way they scheme, a lot. I feel like I good be a big part of it."
Allison is rated as the No.30 inside linebacker in the South Region and 65th nationally.
