Western Kentucky football coach Jeff Brohm has turned down two job interviews; source says he's "totally focused" on WKU

WKUInsider.com confirms that Western Kentucky University football coach Jeff Brohm has turned down two job interviews in recent days and is focusing on the Toppers' game on Saturday against Southern Mississippi in the Conference-USA title game.

With so many jobs open across the country, Jeff Brohm is a hot name nationlly.

But so far the Western Kentucky University second-year head coach isn't listening to any other schools. WKUInsider.com can confirm that Brohm has turned down two job interviews in recent days.

A source told WKU Insider that Brohm is not thinking about his future, only "totally focused" on the Conference-USA title game to be played on Saturday against Southern Mississippi in Bowling Green.

Brohm is expected to be a candidate for openings at Virginia and Maryland. But it won't be before early next week.

With a high-powered offense, Brohm has an 18-7 record in two years as the head coach at WKU. His name has been mentioned for several openings in recent weeks, including Iowa State, Illinois, Memphis and Central Florida.

Amid the job speculation, Brohm and his WKU staff continue to recruit at a rapid pace. The Toppers have landed a commitment in each of the last two days and now have 20 commitments in the Class of 2016.
