Birmingham, Ala., prospect will make an official visit later this month

Birmingham (Ala.) Huffman defensive tackle Kurtis Beaman will visit The Hill this month

WKU head coach Jeff Brohm and his staff continue to work on the finishing touches for their 2016 recruiting class and are set to host a collection of prospects during the recruiting periods final weeks.

Among the many impressive upcoming visitors will be Birmingham (Ala.) Huffman defensive tackle Kurtis Beaman.

The 6-foot-1, 315-pound Beaman announced earlier this week that he'll make an official visit with WKU the weekend of January 22.  Beaman, who received a scholarship offer Mississippi as a high school freshman, is also considering offers from Arkansas State, Indiana and North Carolina.

A member of the Alabama All-Star team, Beaman is a three-star prospect is rated among the top 100 defensive tackles nationally by Scout.com.

He recently indicated to Scout Recruiting Analyst John Garcia Jr., that the Hilltoppers lead for his eventual commitment.
