-Thursday was also a solid day for Hilltopper Basketball. The men picked up an 83-71 road-victory over UTSA, and the Lady Tops took care of UTSA at home, 72-65.
-Saturday was a different story for both teams, as UTEP swept both the men’s and women’s teams of WKU.
-The WKU men’s squad led by 16 at one point in El Paso, but then collapsed and fell in overtime to the Miners, 93-89. Junior guard Fred Edmond had 21 points, 13 rebounds and six assists in the loss.
