Louisville DuPont Manual defensive tackle Sean Cleasant has become one of the more sought after in-state prospects for 2017, with interest rising from both within and outside state borders.
On Saturday, three Scout.com three-star prospect made his first visit to Western Kentucky, where he attended the Hilltoppers Junior Day. While on The Hill, Cleasant spent time visiting with members of the coaching staff, touring the facilities and campus, as well as attending the men's basketball win over Charlotte in E.A. Diddle Arena.
While aware of the recent success enjoyed by the Hilltoppers, Cleasant's visit left him impressed by growing campus and community that surrounds it.
"It's a good school and has a good program," he said. "I already knew it was on the come up, but now visiting it reassured and confirmed that it's a fast improving university."
Cleasant has also visited Louisville and Miami of Ohio in recent weeks, and has a trip to Vanderbilt coming up. He currently holds scholarship offers from Miami of Ohio and Vanderbilt.
"I think its going pretty alright," he said of the recruiting process. "I've been talking to a few schools, getting to know coaches and getting my highlight tape around, so I think the process is alright at this point."
