Lexington (Ky.) Lafayette athlete Quinten Brown is one of the state of Kentucky's top receivers in the Class of 2017. The 5-foot-10, 185-pound Brown check out one of the home state FBS programs last weekend, attending WKU's Junior Day.
In addition to touring the facilties and campus, Brown also spent time visiting new Hilltoppers wide receivers coach Bryan Ellis.
"Loved it," he told WKU Insider. "Really enjoyed the campus, loved the facilities, and really like the new receivers coach, coach Ellis. He said he loves a receiver that knows what he's doing, gets vertical down field, and runs to score once he gets the ball."
Brown finished among the state's top five receivers in 2015, hauling in 72 receptions for 1,219 yards. He reached the end zone nine times.
His visit to WKU was the first Junior Day visit he's made to this point, but that won't be the case soon. Brown has plans to visit a pair of other schools in the region during the coming weeks.
"I've been invited to both Cincinnati and Miami of Ohio. I'll be attending one of cincy's camps this summer and Miami of Ohios Spring practices in April."
