Birmingham (Ala.) Parker wide receiver Eugene Minter had hoped to attend WKU's recent Junior Day, but his responsibilities as a member of his school's basketball team conflicted with his schedule and he was unable to make that trip to The Hill. His absence from that on-campus recruiting weekend didn't deflate Minter's interest in the Hilltoppers program.
"I love WKU," he said, explaining that the WKU "coaching staff and the way they play ball," as reasons for his high interest in the Conference USA power.
The 6-foot-4, 200-pound target isn't lacking of college interest, as UAB, Troy, Samford, South Alabama and Tulane have already extended scholarship offers, while others, including the Hilltoppers, continue to express high interest.
In addition to his impressive size, coaches have also expressed that they like Minter's efforts to improve and win, both on and off the field.
"I play to win and I will give my team 110 percent on the field," he said, adding that he knows continued hard work is the key "to have the offer from WKU."
