The recruiting process is picking up for Jeffersonville, Ind., quarterback Cameron Northern.

The honorable mention All-State quarterback turned in a stellar junior campaign, throwing for close to 2,000 yards and 22 touchdowns for the Red Devils. Now, the 6-foot-3, 215-pound Northern is hearing from some colleges.

Northern has already visited Miami of Ohio, Cincinnati, Ohio University and Marshall and is expected to make return visits to those four schools.

He'll attend Western Kentucky's Junior Day on Saturday, noting he's "very excited" to learn more about WKU coach Jeff Brohm's offense.

Northern said he's heard from WKU running backs coach Chris Barclay, who is new on the job in Bowling Green and was a former high school star at Louisville Male.

He's also a stellar baseball player at Jeffersonville.
