One of the nation's highest-rated point guards in the 2016 class trimmed his lengthy list of options to eight schools on Wednesday afternoon.
Chicago, Ill., Morgan Park four-star prospect Charlie Moore has more than a dozen scholarship offers, with member institutions of the AAC, ACC, Big Ten, Pac 12, SEC, Conference USA and other leagues working hard to earn his services.
On Wednesday the 5-foot-10 point guard turned to social media to announce his list favorites, including WKU. Joining the Hilltoppers on his list of eight are California, Georgia Tech, Illinois, Miami, LSU, SMU, and UNLV. He's taken official visits to Cal, Illinois, Pittsburgh and VCU.
Moore, who played for the Mac Irvin Fire on the AAU circuit, currently checks in at No. 65 in the Scout.com Top 100 and the nation's No. 16 point guard.
"He can really shoot the basketball," said Scout.com's Director of Recruiting Evan Daniels. "He's tough and hard-nosed. He likes to push the tempo and he's a good passer. He's a really talented floor general."
