WKU invaded Louisville on Monday evening, hosting a Toppers on Tour event to a packed house at the Hunting Creek Country Club. Located in far eastern Jefferson County in picturesque Prospect, Ky., the event welcomed alumni and fans for a visit with Hilltoppers Athletic Director Todd Stewart and a pair of his head coaches, football's Jeff Brohm and men's basketball's Rick Stansbury.
Prior to chatting with the dozens clad in Hilltopper attire, the trio spent a few minutes with the assembled media.
All three addressed questions about renewing a series with Louisville.
Stansbury, who described his focus since accepting the position at WKU as a "full-time assistant," was making a rare social appearance at the event in the Derby City.
"I haven't done a lot of these," he said of the opportunity to visit with fans, further explaining that he's been "totally focused on recruiting."
The Kentucky native discussed the rebuilding of the Hilltopper roster, recruiting efforts, scheduling and much more.
Brohm discussed the recent additions to his roster, the importance of in-state recruiting, the quarterback race, building on prior success and more.
