Following a strong performance at WKU's satellite camp in Gallatin, Tenn., and a visit for a WKU Junior Day, offensive lineman Caden Williams is among the latest to receive a scholarship offer from the Hilltoppers.
The 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect from Franklin, Tenn., who also includes Illinois State, Air Force and EKU among his scholarship offers, said that he was "very excited" to learn of the WKU offer.
"I was impressed when I attended their Junior Day, with facilities and the coaching staff and I knew that I performed well at their satellite camp at Gallatin, so was very happy to get the offer," he explained. "I had an inkling this might be coming after the Gallatin Camp."
Williams claims no current favorites and has a few key factors that will play a role when the time comes to trim his list and make a commitment.
"I love to compete in football and academically, so I want a university experience that supports me in both," he said. "Clearly WKU's football program is outstanding."
"There are so many good schools right now I'm still in the process of evaluating the ones that have offered me, but I really like WKU a lot"
Franklin is now into the second week of preseason camp as the team prepares for its season opener on August 19.
First-year assistant Brian Brohm serves as Williams primary recruiter.
