A week after naming Western Kentucky among his three favorites, Wellington (Fla.) Palm Beach Central offensive lineman Michael Garofalo is getting a closer look at the Hilltoppers program.
The 6-foot-3, 275-pound guard prospect informed WKU Insider that his time on The Hill went "great."
While in Bowling Green, Garofalo, who was joined by his parents, toured the WKU campus, football facilities, met with coaches and more to get a feel for what the Hilltopper program would provide.
"[The] facilities are top of the line, and campus is beautiful," he said.
Garofalo also lists Air Force and Stetson among his final three. Army, Robert Morris, Colgate and Wagner are also among those extending scholarship offers.
As Garofalo continues to work closer to his eventual college decision, he will use a criteria that includes an emphasis on academics and winning football. He admits that WKU provides an opportunity to succeed with both.
"They are a great program and school," he said. "I look at my future and I know they will help me get me where I need to be in life. And I wanna win a quite a few games."
He currently has no set date for college announcement, but its coming soon.
"Not a specific date, but sometime in the next week, or two," he said.
