Western Kentucky University's football staff is on quite a run in recruiting.

The Toppers picked up commitment No. 12 in the Class of 2017 - and the third since Saturday night - with the commitment of Bay St. Louis, Miss., St. Stanislaus tight end Darius Pittman.

The 6-foot-3, 230-pound Pittman picked the Toppers over 11 other offers, including Colorado State, Idaho, Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana-Monroe, Louisiana Tech, South Alabama, Southern Miss, Troy, Tulane, UAB and UTSA.

His final three schools were WKU, Colorado State and South Alabama.

Pittman plays wide receiver in high school but is projected as a tight end at the next level. He finished his junior season with 56 receptions for 926 yards and nine touchdowns.

He's the 12th commitment in the '17 class but the first tight end.
