With the Sept. 1 season-opener against Conference USA West Division foe Rice, WKU head coach Jeff Brohm continues to face the difficult decision of naming a starting quarterback.
Following the team's first scrimmage of fall camp, Brohm didn't appear much closer announcing the decision. The competition between Mike White, Tyler Ferguson and Drew Eckels remains tight following a scrimmage that saw each display the ability to lead the team.
“It’s a close battle,” said Brohm. “I think all three have improved, and I like all three of them. They all bring something different to the table. I’m feeling more comfortable with all three of them, but it’s a tough decision. It’s going to be a situation where, when we name a starter, the other two will be right there and we won’t be afraid to play whoever we need to to add a spark. I think all three have studied hard, worked hard, and have come out and done a good job of taking care of the ball."
