Western Kentucky gets commitment No. 17 in the '17 class; picks up verbal from Forsyth, Ga., offensive lineman Caleb Etheridge

Western Kentucky University has picked up commitment No. 17 in the 2017 class, landing a verbal from Forsyth, Ga., offensive lineman Caleb Etheridge.

Forsyth, Ga., Mary Persons High School offensive guard Caleb Etheridge is the newest member of the Western Kentucky University football recruiting Class of 2017.

The 6-foot-2, 291-pound Etheridge gave the Toppers a verbal commitment on Tuesday afternoon.

Etheridge had nine scholarship offers, including ones from WKU, Samford, Middle Tennessee State, Marshall, Georgia State, Kent State and others. He made a recent visit to WKU's campus.

The Toppers now have 17 commitments in the '17 class including four offensive linemen. Etheridge joins Patrick NussWoodford Lankford and D.J. Washington as linemen commitments.
