Here's an updated look at where WKU is projected to go bowling this season

WKU bowl projections continue to vary across multiple media outlets

Western Kentucky's bowl stock continues to rise as the Hilltoppers have won three straight and currently hold down first place in the East Division of Conference USA.  Three regular season contests remain in the regular season, including the next two at home.  A potential spot in the C-USA title game and eventual bowl are still to be determined.

Here's a look at the latest Western Kentucky bowl projections

CBS Sports: Heart of Dallas vs Texas, Dec. 27

Texas is currently 4-4 overall and in seventh place in the Big 12.  The Longhorns are 2-1 against teams ranked in the top 25.  It would mark the first meeting between the two programs.

ESPN (Mark Schlabach): Bahamas Bowl vs Tulsa, Dec. 23

Tulsa is 6-2 overall and in second place of the AAC West Division. The Hurricane received three votes in the latest AP Top 25.  It would be the first meeting between the two programs.

ESPN (Brett McMurphy): Hawaii vs Boise State, Dec. 24

Currently in second place of the Mountain Division of the MWC, Boise State is 7-1 overall and ranked No. 24 in the AP Top 25.  WKU has never faced the Broncos.

USA Today: Heart of Dallas vs Maryland, Dec. 27

Maryland is 5-3 overall and tied with Indiana for third place in the Big 10's East Division.  It would be the first meeting between the two programs.

SB Nation: Heart of Dallas vs Army, Dec. 27

The Black Knights are 5-3 overall.  WKU holds a 2-0 series advantage against Army.  The Hilltoppers defeated Army 21-17 at West Point in 2013 and then won 52-24 in Bowling Green in Jeff Brohm's first year as head coach.

College Football News: New Mexico Bowl vs New Mexico, Dec. 17

New Mexico is currently tied with Boise State for second place in the MWC Mountain Division.  The Lobos are 5-3 overall.  It would mark the first contest between the two programs.

Gridiron Now: Hawaii vs. Air Force, Dec. 24

Air Force is 5-3 overall and currently in fifth place in the MWC Mountain Division.  WKU has never faced Air Force.

Campus Insiders: New Mexico Bowl vs Wyoming, Dec. 17

Wyoming is 6-2 overall and currently tops the MWC Mountain Division.  The Cowboys picked up five votes in the latest AP Top 25.  It would be the first game between the two programs.

College Sports Madness: Hawaii vs. Air Force, Dec. 24

Air Force is 5-3 overall and currently in fifth place in the MWC Mountain Division.  WKU has never faced Air Force.

Sporting News:  Independence Bowl vs. Boston College, Dec. 26

BC is currently 4-4 overall and in last place in the ACC Coastal Division.  WKU has never faced the Golden Eagles.

Fox Sports: Heart of Dallas vs. Texas Tech, Dec. 27

Texas Tech is currently 4-4 overall and tied with Texas and TCU for sixth place in the Big 12.  The two programs have never met.
