Western Kentucky has accepted a spot in the Boca Raton Bowl on Dec. 20 and will play Memphis in the bowl game

One day after winning the Conference USA championship, the Western Kentucky University football team knows where it will be going bowling after its sensational 10-3 season.

The Toppers will head South to Florida for a second consecutive bowl game after accepting the invitation from the Boca Raton Bowl, set for December 20, where they will face American Athletic Conference member Memphis (8-4).

The game is slated for 7 p.m.

"This is a great destination for our team and our fans, and we are thrilled to be playing in the Boca Raton Bowl," WKU athletic director Todd Stewart said. "A prime time telecast on ESPN and the only college or pro football game the entire day, the Boca Raton Bowl provides terrific exposure and a great opportunity for viewers nationwide to get a first-hand look at the back to back Conference USA champions."

It's the third straight bowl game for WKU and fourth in five years and it will be the first meeting between WKU and Memphis since 1956. The series is tied 2-2-1 overall.

Tickets for the Boca Raton Bowl can be purchased through the WKU Ticket Office this week from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. or online at WKUTickets.com. Tickets are $40 and will be allocated by HAF priority rank. The deadline to order tickets will be Thursday Dec. 8th at 5:00pm.
