The new Western Kentucky University football staff is looking to add a few more prospects before signing day.
And one new name on the radar is a top in-state prospect.
Trinity High School standout offensive tackle Cole Spencer landed an offer from the Hilltoppers on Tuesday and confirmed to WKU Insider that the new staff is trying to get him on campus for a visit this weekend.
Spencer also landed an offer from Tulane on Tuesday and the Green Wave want him to also visit.
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Spencer has 11 total offers, including FBS offers from Bowling Green State, WKU and Tulane. He has visited Bowling Green, Eastern Kentucky and UT Chattanooga on official visits and Austin Peay on an unofficial visit.
Geoff Dart, the new offensive line coach at WKU, is recruiting Spencer for the Toppers.
Spencer helped Trinity to the Class 6-A state championship and an undefeated season. The Shamrocks rushed for 217.4 yards per game, averaged 46.3 points and 401 total yards a game.
