Louisville Trinity offensive lineman Cole Spencer added a scholarship offer from Western Kentucky last week and quickly scheduled an official visit with the Hilltoppers program.
After spending a couple days on The Hill, visiting with coaches, touring the campus and more, the offensive tackle made the decision to join head coach Mike Sanford's first recruiting class at WKU.
"It was great," he said. "I committed."
The 6-foot-5, 285-pound Spencer has 11 total offers, including FBS offers from Bowling Green State, WKU and Tulane. However, the offer from WKU was the one that he had been hoping for.
"It felt like home as soon as I stepped on campus," he said. "WKU was my dream school to play at when I started this journey my freshman year. The new coaches are going to do big things and take the program to the next level and I want to be a part of that."
Spencer helped Trinity win the Kentucky 6A Championship.
