BIO: Jaylon George signed with WKU in December following a redshirst freshman season at Northeast Oklahoma A&M. 6-3, 260-pound lineman, a product of North Clayton High School in Atlanta, recorded 77 tackles, including a team-high 12 tackles for a loss and 9.5 sacks. He was an All-SWJC Conference honorable mention selection.
RECRUITMENT: George signed with WKU over interest from Ball State,
WHY WKU: George said he "fell in love" with WKU when he visited in December. The chance to start as an incoming sophomore was also enticing.
EVALUATION: A big body that has the ability to find the ball quickly to make a play. Huge motor, with his best days still in front of him. Has the chance to become a multi-year All-Conference player during his time on The Hill.
QUOTABLE: "I fell in love with it," George said. "The campus, the atmosphere and the people were all great."
BOTTOM LINE: With three yeas of eligibility remaining, George will have an opportunity to make an immediate impact on the WKU defensive front.
