Western Kentucky recently extended a scholarship offer to Glen St. Mary (Fla.) Baker County athlete Lee Graham and two-way prospect will respond with a trip to Bowling Green this weekend.
"I was shocked at the moment then realized it's another blessing God has set for me," he told WKU Insider. "This is just the beginning of this process."
Graham has been in frequent contact with the Hilltopper staff, who have expressed an interest in utilizing his talents at both the wide receiver and safety positions.
"I talk to them often," he said. "I talked to coach Spurrier and they want me to play both sides of the ball such as a athlete. That's a great spot for me to fit in at."
This weekend he'll make the trip from his home near the Florida-Georgia border to experience The Hill, which he hopes is the first of multiple trips to the WKU campus.
"I'll be taking a visit to their Junior Day on Saturday, and more over the spring and summer."
In addition to WKU, Graham also holds offers from Conference USA rivals Marshall and Southern Miss, as well as Central Michigan, South Florida and Valdosta State. The recruiting process is one that he's both grateful and excited to experience.
"It's going great," he said. "It's a nice feeling through it all and just a blessing from God for all athletes that have this opportunity. If everything falls in place as planned and I stay in my books the sky is the limit."
