Columbus (Oh.) St. Francis DeSales defensive end Brandon Derrow will be on The Hill on Saturday, joining dozens of prospects attending Western Kentucky's Junior Day.
"I just started talking to WKU, so it's still early in the process," he told WKU Insider.
While on their visit, recruits will spend time checking out the football facilities, touring the campus, spending time with members of the coaching staff and many will attend the men's basketball game at E.A. Diddle Arena.
The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Derrow holds a handful of scholarship offers and hopes to add WKU to his growing list over the weekend. He admits that should an offer surface that it would impact his recruiting.
"I'm really looking forward to visiting to the facilities they have to offer and getting to know the coaches," he said. "I have a feeling they will be at the top of my interest list with the other offers I have after this weekend."
Akron, Kent State, Toledo and Western Michigan are among the current offers for Derrow.
As a junior, Derrow helped DeSales to a 13-1 record and winning the Regional title. He recorded 72 stops, including 34 solo tackles, including eight tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks. He also forced a fumble, had a pair of fumble recoveries, three pass break ups and registered 48 quarterback pressures.
