Ethan Edmondson attended WKU's Junior Day

Scottsboro, Ala., prospect Ethan Edmondson holds multiple scholarship offers

Scottsboro, Ala., defensive end Ethan Edmondson made the trip to Bowling Green on Saturday to join the large group of recruits attending the Western Kentucky Junior Day.

His time on The Hill echoed that of the others.  It was a valuable visit that allowed him the opportunity to learn more about the school and the expectations of the head coach Mike Sanford and his staff.  It also resulted in a future visit with from one of the assistants.

"I had a great time at WKU," said Edmondson, who just recently began forming a relationship with the WKU staff.  "I loved the campus and talked to a lot of coaches.  They said they will be in contact with me a lot and will be down during the spring also talked to head coach Sanford he told me they was serious about me."

The growing WKU campus left a strong impression on the 6-foot-3, 245-pound prospect.

"It was amazing," he said.  "It was really nice.  It's pretty up there and a great place."

Edmondson currently holds scholarship offers from Arkansas State, Memphis, Southern Miss, Troy and others.  His upcoming schedule includes trips to see some that have offered, as well as a Conference USA rival.

"I got Louisiana tech next weekend," he said.  "Southern Miss and Arkansas State coming up and maybe some more soon."
