Pleasure Ridge Park athlete Shannon Bishop Jr. was among the large group of prospects who visited Western Kentucky's Junior Day and left impressed by his experience.
"It was wonderful, I got to explore the campus and all the facilities," he told WKU Insider..
The continually improving facilities and growing campus, along with his visit with members of the Hilltoppers coaching staff all left a strong impression with Bishop.
"The coaches were really great and friendly," he said. "I enjoyed the football facilities and talking to coaches. They seemed like they really care about the players on and off the field while there in college and their life after college."
The 5-foot-9 speedy athlete, who holds a scholarship offer from Howard and is drawing interest from programs across the region, displayed an ability to impact the game on both sides of the field last fall.
Bishop played receiver, cornerback and returned kicks for PRP as a junior and finished the season as the team's leading scorer. He topped the Panthers with 697 receiving yards on 24 receptions with seven touchdowns. He also recorded 38 total tackles and had a pair of interceptions for PRP.
