Louisville Doss athlete visited for the WKU spring game

Louisville Doss' Terez Traynor holds 11 scholarship offers

Louisville Doss athlete Terez Traynor has made multiple visits to the Western Kentucky campus and made another for the program's spring game last Saturday.

"It was great." he said.  "I got there before the start of the game."

Traynor, who also attended the Hilltopper's Junior Day in March, was able to experience a bit of the WKU locker room atmosphere at the spring game.

"It was fun to watch," he said.   "I learned about the players and was in the white teams locker room."

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound two-way player has remained in frequent contact with the WKU since first-year head coach Mike Sanford and his staff began working on the 2018 recruiting class.

"Me and all the coaches have a good relationship," Traynor told WKU Insider.  "We keep in contact a lot.  They don't say a lot, really, but I'm welcome there any time.  I know that they want me to be a Topper."

A WKU staff member will visit Doss on Thursday as part of the program's Topper TakeOver effort that will see every football playing high school in the Bluegrass State receive a visit from the Hilltoppers.

"They believe in us Kentucky guys," Traynor said.

Traynor anticipates making a return trip to WKU in the coming months, plus stops at Louisville and Purdue.

In addition to WKU, Traynor also holds scholarship offers from Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, Miami of Ohio, Purdue and others.

As a junior he was Doss' second-leading rusher and receiver, combining for 804 yards and 11 touchdowns.
