In-state point guard Trevon Faulkner made the trip from his home in Harrodsburg to Bowling Green to visit the Western Kentucky campus on Wednesday and was rewarded with a scholarship offer from the Hilltopper coaching staff.
News of Faulkner's latest offer came from Mercer County assistant coach Josh Hamlin.
The 6-foot-4 Mercer County product has previously been extended offers from Louisiana-Lafayette, Middle Tennessee and Wright State.
A second team All-State selection, Faulkner averaged a double-double of 24.2 points and 11 rebounds per game while helping to lead his team to the 12th Region Championship game. He connected on 52 percent of his field goal attempts and 27 percent from beyond the three-point arc.
