A pair of teammates, Gerry Vaughn and Tre Leslie, both linebackers at Tucker (Ga.) High School have been extended scholarship offers from Western Kentucky and it has the twosome considering playing together on the college level.
"I like Western Kentucky they have a lot to offer me," Vaughn told WKU Insider. "Me and one of my bro's are looking at that school, as well."
Vaughn, a 6-foot-1, 205-pound outside linebacker, has teammated up with the 6-foot, 210-pound Leslie throughout their prep career, a factor that could play a role in the decision of both.
"Thats a very strong possibility because we play with so much so chemistry," Leslie said. "We have been playing together for our whole high school career."
Leslie has already made a trip to Bowling Green to visit the Hilltoppers program and left with an impression so strong that he has WKU among his favorites.
"The facility is pretty nice and they're most definitely in my top three," he said, adding that "Georgia Southern and Cincinnati" are also among his top schools.
Vaughn, who isn't claiming any current favorites, anticipates making the trip to the WKU campus during the summer months and looks forward to "what the campus is like and what the coaches are like in person."
