WMU put the first run on the board when redshirt freshman Mark Abro hit his team-best fifth home run of the year in the top fifth. The Broncos added two runs in the sixth, as DH Mike Demetral doubled and 2B Steve Horn singled to drive in runs.

"This was one of the first times in a while that we didn't pitch well," said Decker. "This is not the way we wanted to end the series."
