Justin LeMay Q&A

The sophomore from Fort Lauderdale, Florida is one the new receivers making a name for himself on this year's Bronco football team. Broncos Illustrated caught up with LeMay after practice on Tuesday to talk about how the season has been going this year and the upcoming game at Ball State.

Can you talk about you first career catch, which went for a touchdown against Tennessee-Martin?

It was real exciting just getting in there after not playing my first two years. It was exciting getting in there and making the big play.

Is it exciting to be among the younger players in the lineup this season?

I think it is. When I was around the older guys last year, Antonio Thomas and Kendrick Mosley, they helped a lot so it was good to have older guys around the younger guys.

How do you feel the quarterbacks are doing this season?

I think they're doing pretty good. Our offense last week against Illinois moved the ball pretty well. We've been pretty efficient on offense so I think they've been doing well.

How tough was it to walk away from the close loss at Illinois?

It was real tough. We thought we had that game and we were expecting to win that game so it was real tough but we just have to bounce back this week when MAC play starts.

What will it take to bounce back?

Just focus on the little things. We had that game [at Illinois] down to the last minute and we just have to focus on finishing.

What are your expectations at Ball State?

Our expectation is to just go out there and play our best. We're expecting to go out there and win.

Are there any areas where you feel you can exploit the Cardinal defense?

Our offense has been doing pretty good so it's just keep doing what we've been doing really.

Do you think the team is where it needs to be to compete in the MAC?

I feel we're in a good spot right now. We need to clean up the little things but we're pretty much clicking right now. I think we're in a good spot to win.

Did you get to play against any of the other south Florida natives on the WMU roster in high school?

I actually played against three of them. I played against Joe Chapple and Jimmy Vincent for two years and then my senior year I played against the kicker Mike Jones.

Is it cool to be playing on the same team as guys you used to try and beat up on?

It was real cool. I didn't even know they were going to be up here when I first signed. It's good to have people from where you're from on the team.

Do your parents ever get to see you play?

They came up for Tennessee-Martin and for the Virginia Tech game. Then they're going to come up for Toledo and a couple of others.
