Slow Start Costs Broncos

The Western Michigan men's basketball team got off to a slow start and struggled offensively throughout the game and as a result dropped an 81-73 decision to E.F. Feurs Saturday night in France.

In the middle of a 12-day, six-game European tour, the Broncos have dropped each of the first two contests. The team begins a stretch of four games in four nights Monday in Montreax, Switzerland.

Robby Collum led the squad with 18 points on 7-of-11 shooting from the field . Senior Nick Evola added 11 points and nine rebounds while Terrance Slater and Reggie Berry grabbed 11 and 12 boards respectively.

WMU struggled from the field the entire evening , finishing 24-of-83 as a team . The shooting woes also came at the charity stripe, where WMU concluded play 17-of-31. The Broncos dominated the glass, finishing with a 57-37 advantage, but were never able to fully recover from an 18-point deficit.
