He is known by teammates as the consummate hard worker. He discusses his work ethic, the season, and also how things compare to a year ago for him.

How has your preparation been for the upcoming season knowing you are running first team at running back?
I'm working hard every day to prepare for that starting position. I'd like to think of it as not mine right now so I work that much harder during practice but my preparation over the summer and right now during camp, if I continue to work hard and trust the offensive line and my teammates I'll have a wonderful season.

How confident are you in the offensive line?
I'm extremely comfortable and even more so excited about the offensive line, there is such a unity there, especially with what happened last year with our rushing game. The fight to want to get better is there, I can't wait to run behind them.

Is the attitude of the team changed from a year ago?
Definitely, 360 degree turn right now. We started doing something last year the Broncos weren't used to doing and that was losing and we feel we've got that out of or system and have a new attitude and new focus and we're practicing a like it and the win/loss column will show it.

You've been singled out as a 'quiet' leader. Talk about that.
Definitely, I'm not a very talkative guy, I think my actions speak very loudly. I haven't done much different, I just try to stay consistent in the weight room, classroom and on the field and hopefully I can be a leader in that way.

How is the running back position shaping up overall?
I think we are shaping up extremely young, extremely talented tight knit group of running backs. I'm the oldest and I still have this year and next year. Being young there is a lot to learn but we're trying extremely hard and helping each other out and I think it will work out for the best.

Who has been really impressive this camp to you?
Jason Babin is an incredible athlete, [Bryan] Lape, [Jason] Malloy, Carlos Smith as well. We have an extremely strong defense. A lot of the media and fans know that. I think people expect them to do well and I think they'll do even better than people think.

Any particular goals for this season?
With me it's pretty much win. I want to do whatever I can do to help us win. Every game is going to be different, against an 8 man front I'll have to mostly block. Then there will be times when we play against five or six defensive backs and I'll have to run the ball, that will be my day. Whatever game it may be I want to do what I can do 100%, both technique and assignment to help us win the game.
