Chad Munson

On the crowd ...

"This is the biggest crowd I've ever played in from of, before this the biggest was maybe 5,000. I just block it out. It was exciting coming out the tunnel here though."

On his standout performance ...

"I did what coach wanted me to do and the offensive did a great job. That is really it, I just felt good out there and everyone around me played very well."

On the rotation at quarterback ...

"Coach made the plan of like a 2:1 ratio and when I came in I just focused on each series. I just did what coach asked me to do and don't even know my numbers. I give credit to the entire offense around me."

"First punt the guy seemed nervous so I went to coach Ake and told him we need to go after him so he called a block the next punt and we got him."

"We have a lot of kinks to work out, it will be a tough week of practice for sure."

On playing a drop back passer next week at Michigan ...

"Michigan has a big run threat so I think stopping the run is first for us on the defensive line. It's pretty exciting for a defensive lineman having a quarterback that drops like that."

Jermaine Lewis

On the offense overall ...

"The offense is doing pretty good right now, coach has been preaching all camp about being tough and setting a tone for the season and we did that."

On the early success in the red zone ...

"We were just trying to put drives together and in the red zone our goal is to score every time."

On having multiple capable quarterbacks ...

"To me it is very important as we have someone there in case someone has a bad day and we won't miss a beat."

Surprised at Chad's success?

"No, we've been working all summer so there were no surprises."

On being back on offense after playing defense earlier in his career ...

"I was just trying to get the jitters out and wasn't thinking of stats or anything. I've been working all summer and spring on offense so I felt comfortable out there."
