Safety "Extremely" Close To Deciding

At 6-2 and 196 pounds River Rouge safety Deaudre Perry is very close to making a decision on the college he will attend. With Western Michigan right in the mix, we spoke to him to get the latest.

"I am extremely close to making a decision," said Perry who is being recruited as a safety by Michigan State, Western Michigan and Bowling Green. "Right now Bowling Green is a slight leader over Western Michigan."

Thought Perry says Bowling Green leads, he says it is by a small margin.

"I like Bowling Green just a little better right now because it just feels like home there," said Perry. "It is only 40 minutes from my house and I like the people there."

Perry plans to study Sports Management at whatever college he chooses. He officially visited Western Michigan on December 6th and was hosted by Tony Carr.

"I really enjoyed my visit to Western," said Perry. "I love their facilities, they all seem very new."

Perry, who also participates in basketball and track at River Rouge, says he has had an in-home visit by Dan Enos but not Gary Darnell yet.

"Coach Darnell was set to come for an in-home right before the dead period but my mother got sick so he was never able to come," said Perry.

Perry says he is very close to making his decision and it could come as early as this week. We'll be sure to keep tabs on him and bring you the latest once he decides.
