That TD is on Figaro not Gaulden. Sadly I think the sins of the previous staff bites us in the a$$ here in the 4th quarter. No quality upperclass receivers. No depth on the defensive line and no depth at safety.
Once again, The Andersen led Badgers looks very much like they will blow another big lead and lose this game when they had zero business doing so!! I don't know what it is with this coaching staff, they can find ways to lose games they had all but won in the most frustrating ways possible!
Whats with the blatently stupid strategy of having Tanner throwing bomb passes he has not a chance in hell of completing 6 times this game, wasting a down and destroying any momentum they could have had! so damn frustrating to watch the inevidable loss!
Why run clement outside several times when that is clearly not is strong suit? Why have they completely abandoned the passing game with the exception of the bomb pass they have zero chance of completing! Its infuriating to watch a great effort going down the tubes!
no one will remember the great effort, just the fact that they blew another game they should have won and LSU will look like they were the inevitable winners no matter what the Badgers did in this game!
Lucas and LePay are blaming the injuries to the D line...
Me, I just wish we had an OC that understands how to sustain a rushing attack by sticking w/it and using play action passes to compliment it. That 1st down throw to the freshman, Rushing, I believe, coming right after the opening drive of the 2nd half, was a wasted play IMO and played right into LSU's strength. Now Lucas is wondering why there's no rhythm to our running game. BECAUSE WE DON'T USE IT CORRECTLY!!!(CC just got a 1st down after 3 straight rushes. Golly, ya think that's the way to go???)
once again, Badgers are what they are, however, you can't win games against teams of this caliber by just running the ball, you need some semblance of a passing game also! If this is going to be their passing game under Mcavoy then they have a QB issue, that's for sure! Unless, its just against the LSU's of the world.
Either way, after 8 months and that is the best they could do on offense with regards to the passing game then to be having a total of 33 passing yards heading into the 4th quarter!??
Also, I thought Tanner was the option guy Andersen coveted, where is the option attack? I think it could have helped keep LSU's D at bay more in this game!
Once again, Andersen and his staff, seem to be struggling at the next level in ways, at times, in over their heads!
