Series Notes:

The Badgers own a perfect 7-0 all-time record vs. members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC), including a 79-46 win over Grambling last season.

The Badgers and Panthers had one common opponent last season. PVAMU lost to Iowa 80-51, while Wisconsin defeated the Hawkeyes, 67-40.

Wisconsin Notes:

Leuer posted back-to-back double-doubles, tallying 15 points and 10 rebounds against UWL and 25 points, 11 rebounds vs. MSU.

Wisconsin is 100-33 (.752) in regular-season non-conference games under Ryan, including 67-5 (.931) at the Kohl Center. Ryan's teams have never lost a home game during the month of November, a streak of 24 consecutive games. The last Badger home loss in November was a 65-60 decision to Marquette in the 1997-98 season opener.

UW has won all nine home openers under head coach Bo Ryan, and the Badgers have won 12 consecutive home openers overall. Wisconsin has never lost a home opener in the Kohl Center. UW's average margin of victory in home openers under Ryan is 25.8 points (77.7 to 51.9).

Worgull's Prediction

Wisconsin is 85-27 all-time in season openers, including 70- 14 in season-openers at home. The Badgers are 8-1 under Bo Ryan in season openers and have won eight consecutive season debuts. Don't think an upset is coming here.

In the Panthers game at Marquette on Friday, they trailed 53-23 at halftime and were outrebounded 51-19 by a Golden Eagles team that started two sophomores and two freshmen. Imagine what UW's veteran front court is going to do. Prairie View was held scoreless for 6 minutes 47 seconds during the stretch, and Wisconsin defense is prone to frustrating opponents into putting up multiple clankers.

Every in-state basketball fan will compare this game's margin of victory to the Eagles' 39-point victory. Don't expect UW to score 97 points like MU did, that's just not the Badgers' style. I believe Bo Ryan just barely misses outscoring Bret Bielema's boys and win by 28.

Worgull's 09-10 Record: 25-8

Points off Prediction: 344 (10.3 per game)
