"I have two scholarship offers," said Jack Simmons. "Northern Illinois and Northwestern have both offered.
"Purdue, Northwestern and Northern Illinois have all called so far in May.
"My favorites have changed a little bit. I like Northwestern a lot and Boston College is starting to come on strong. Those two are probably my leaders.
"Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Indiana are the other schools that I like right now."
Simmons, a 6-foot-6, 205-pound, tight end from Mundelein (Ill.) Carmel is considered one of the top prospects in the Land of Lincoln.
Simmons will be a four-year varsity starter in 2003. Jack is a terrific athlete that could play several positions at the next level.
Carmel head coach Andy Bitto has used Simmons as a safety, linebacker, tight end and as a defensive end.
