Recap: Badgers Break Mackey Hex

After three games of cold shooting, Wisconsin finally catches fire, blazing out to a 22-4 lead and holding on in the second half to win 67-62 against Purdue in Mackey Arena for the first time since 2005, snapping the Boilers 26-game home winning streak in the process.

Notes: The win snapped a three-game losing streak overall and a five-game losing streak at Mackey Arena ... The Badgers' win snapped Purdue's 26-game home winning streak, which was the sixth-longest active winning streak in the nation entering Thursday night ... Ben Brust was one of five Badgers to score in double figures, scoring a team-high 13 points. Mike Bruesewitz and Jordan Taylor each scored 12 points, while Ryan Evans and Josh Gasser added 10 each ... Wisconsin jumped out to a 22-4 lead within the game's first eight minutes, but Purdue fought back and cut the lead to 45-43 with 10:35 to play. Wisconsin was clutch at the free-throw line though, hitting 11 of 14 free throws in the game's final two minutes, including eight straight to end the game.
