Cornerback Names His Favorites

Illinois cornerback Leslie Majors received his first scholarship offer from a Big Ten school. Majors talks about that offer as well as his current favorites.

Leslie Majors, a 5-foot-10, 165-pound, cornerback from South Holland (Ill.) Thornwood is emerging as a prospect to watch in 2003.

"I have an offer from Indiana right now," said Majors.

"Wisconsin, Iowa, Central Michigan, Illinois, Boston College, Michigan and Ball State called me during the May Evaluation period.

"My favorites right now would be Iowa, Wisconsin, Indiana, Michigan and Connecticut.

"I've already camped at Indiana and Michigan this summer. Right now I don't have a leader. I'm leaving all my options open."

Majors looks like a fine athlete on film. As a junior, Leslie had 760 yards rushing and scored 10 touchdowns. On defense, he had three interceptions.

Most schools are recruiting majors as a cornerback. Also a sprinter on the track & field team, Majors says he has run a 4.2 40-yard dash.

Leslie Majors will be a three-year varsity starter in 2003. He was named all-conference and all-area as a junior.
