Badgers Still In The Mix

Erie (Pa.) McDowell offensive lineman Kyle Mitchum remains wide open and Wisconsin is one his favorites.

"I have about 25 scholarship offers," said lineman Kyle Mitchum.

"I really don't have things narrowed down yet. I'm looking at Ohio State, Iowa, Miami, North Carolina, Wisconsin, Michigan, West Virginia and Virginia.

"I visited Penn State, Pittsburgh and Syracuse in the spring. This summer I have visited Ohio State, Michigan State, Virginia and North Carolina.

"I'm hoping to get to Iowa, Tennessee and Miami by the end of the summer.

"Right now I plan on waiting until after the season to make a decision. I want to take my visits."

Mitchum, a 6-foot-6, 270-pounder, from Erie (Pa.) McDowell will be a three-year varsity starter in 2003. He was named 2nd team all-state in 2002.
