"It went really well," Van Dort told Badger Nation. "I really enjoyed the campus and the town, as well the football facilities. I thought Camp Randall was really unique."
During his visit, Van Dort (6-5, 240 pounds) got some time with tight end coach Eddie Faulkner and had his relationship bloom even more.
"(Coach Faulkner) just said he was really glad I was able to make it to the game and that this is just the beginning," Van Dort said. "We talked about how to stay in touch with each other. We never talked about an offer, though."
Certain things usually stand out to prospects on a recruiting visit, but Van Dort thought the traditional ‘Jump Around' and the stadium were the highlights of the visit.
"Definitely the stadium stood out to me and the game was just fun," he said. "To be a part of the student section was just crazy. I didn't jump (laughing), but that ‘Jump Around' was crazy!"
Finishing up a fantastic visit to Camp Randall, Van Dort puts the Badgers near the top of his list and has some visits on top of his mind.
"Wisconsin is definitely in my top schools," Van Dort said. "I would rate my visit a 9 out of 10. I just had a really good time and I loved the environment. I probably am going to some more games at Wisconsin, but I am not sure when at the moment."
