Foreman Clears the Air

After suffering one de-commitment in the class of 2013, Wisconsin is trying to secure its other 18 verbal commitments, which include four-star Crespi (CA) High safety Tyler Foreman.

MADISON - Since Bret Bielema unexpectedly left for Arkansas, Wisconsin has already suffered one de-commitment in the 2013 class with Georgia Military College defensive back Tiquention Coleman flipping to Arkansas.

Since Bielema's announcement, there have been rumblings that Wisconsin's highest-rated commit - Encino (CA.) Crespi four-star safety, Tyler Foreman - maybe looking around. Foreman wanted to clear the air on where he stands and how his in-home visit went with linebackers coach Andy Buh.

"I'm still committed to Wisconsin," Foreman told Badger Nation. "I am not a soft commit looking around. I'm still solid. The in-home visit was real nice. I had a good time and he met my whole family. He didn't know what was happening and my family liked him a lot. I like Coach Buh and think he is a really great guy. He didn't really mentioned coaches job security, but is a great guy."

Ranked the No.8 safety in the country by, Foreman selected Wisconsin over favorites Oklahoma, UCLA and Utah on November 20, citing the school's academics and his relationship with the coaching staff. Foreman said Bielema ‘embraced him' during his official visit in late October, making the news of Bielema's decision a surprise.

"It was a huge shock because Coach Bielema said he wasn't leaving anytime soon," said Foreman. "He also said that he was building a new house on the lake, so I didn't think he was going to leave. Utah and UCLA have contacted me since the news. They have been just keeping contact with me.

"I am going to see who (Wisconsin) hire(s) as head coach and what assistants they are going to keep. It will be a big factor on who they hire."

What is the next step for Foreman as his recruitment goes on?

"I honestly don't know," said Foreman. "This is all still a big shock to me and I'm just playing it by ear."
